Have you ever been to Chicago? If not you are missing out on great things. No matter if it is the winter, summer, spring, or even fall Chicago has great activities for all ages. Growing up I always enjoyed going to the Museums, Chicago has many museums in the Downtown area. Chicago also has many well known Pizza places and hot dog stands. Chicago has many types of pizza’s and hot dogs to offer but the main one people want is our famous Deep Dish Pizza and our Chicago style Hot Dog. After you go to the museums, grab your pizza’s or Hot Dog your probably thinking your done for the evening but your not. Chicago has a great night life, even if you want to go somewhere chill; Chicago has that as well. Chicago tends to every mood there is, every activity, and every age. If you have’t visited Chicago, then you are missing out on everything.
Chicago has five different museums in the downtown area. We have the Museum of Science and Industry, the Shedd Aquarium, The field Museum of Natural History, The Art Institute of Chicago, Alder Planetarium, and so many more. Growing up I’ve went to every single museum, it’s either I went with my school or my mom wanted to spend the weekend learning new things at these museums. The Shedd Aquarium is my favorite, you get to learn about different types of sea creatures other than you typical fish. Also, the museums even have FREE days, and not all of them are just for Illinois residents, so if you are coming from out of town you may have a chance to enjoy the museums for free as well. Going to the museums in Chicago are fun because even when you leave the museum’s you’er still learning new things because Chicago has so much history.
Chicago is well known for our pizza and Hot Dog stands, but not just any pizza or hot dog. We’re famous for our Deep Dish pizza and our Chicago Style Hot Dog. You can’t come to Chicago and not get both of these items. You won’t be experiencing Chicago in full. So, I’ll name a few places you can go to, to experience Chicago the right way. For our deep dish pizza you can go to Gino’s East, Giordonos. For our Chicago Style Hot dog, you can always go to a hot dog stand once you leave one of our great museums, but the number one place you can go to is Jew Town. Jew Town is an historical landmark in Chicago, and its known for their Chicago style hot dogs, and deep fried polishes. To experience Chicago you have to try these two items, but you can’t just go anywhere.
After you’ve spent your day going to the museums, and enjoying great food you still have more to experience. The Nightlife in Chicago can meet any of your moods. We have great comedy clubs, Jazz, and sport bars. when I say sport Bars, I am not talking about Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters, I am talking about the nice small spot at the end of the block with the best customer serves, drinks and food. Chicago has many “Hole in the wall” places, which can be better than the well known bars and or clubs. Also, the nightlife here in Chicago is more exciting than any other places because we have a spot for everyone to feel wanted and comfortable. For example Chicago has an area called “Boys Town”, Boys Town is basically for the LGBTQ+ community. We include everyone, because we want everyone to enjoy Chicago.
